World Book Day 2026

South Lee school spent a glorious sunny day celebrating World Book Day. We began with a whole-school assembly led by Mrs Martineau, followed by a visit from Usborne Books who joined us throughout the day to help children choose and purchase their own stories. 

At lunchtime, the whole school gathered for a themed lunch, and the children enjoyed a visit to Mr Wonka's Cupcake Emporium to design their own cupcakes for dessert. 

The incredible effort that children and parents have put into creating such imaginative costumes has truly not gone unnoticed. Days like today showcase the fantastic South Lee community spirit, and we are so grateful for everyone's enthusiasm and support.
