Pupils in the Upper School have a weekly Upper School Assembly where they address a variety of issues and topics that are aimed to challenge and interest the older pupils.
Teaching leadership, responsibility and other important ‘soft’ skills is a key aim of the Upper School. Pupils have the opportunity to develop from children to young adults in this safe and nurturing environment. Being at the top of the school allows pupils the chance to flourish while taking on responsibilities and challenges both in and out of the classroom.
In Year 8, pupils undertake an exciting and challenging Leavers’ Programme designed to teach new skills and promote teamwork whilst celebrating their journey at South Lee and looking forwards to their Senior School.
We send pupils to a large variety of schools after their time here at South Lee. Parents are encouraged to liaise closely with us regarding their next school so that we can prepare them thoroughly for entrance exams, scholarships or Common Entrance as well as the transition itself. Mrs Rosie Watch is our Future Schools’ Liaison (firstname.lastname@example.org) and is always happy to meet parents to discuss the best options for our pupils.
