Year 7 STEM project

As part of their STEM project, Year 7 have been making model 'Floating Gardens' for farmers in Bangladesh to help protect their crops from frequent flooding.

The project focuses on local communities developing climate resilience to help meet some of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

To ensure families have a good source of protein in their diet as well as fresh vegetables, several of the designs incorporate floating chicken runs and duck houses.

Since clean water is in short supply in flooded areas, rainwater catchment systems also feature in some of the floating gardens.
