The South Lee PTA will be producing a cookbook to raise money to help fund the equipping of a new food technology room and we need your help!
Is there a delicious recipe that you or your family cooked during the year of lockdowns and would like to share?
We would like every pupil and member of staff to contribute one or two recipes.
Contributions from parents and other family members (or joint contributions from pupils and parents) are also very welcome.
Please use the template below so we have consistency of format. Please send all contributions to email@example.com by Friday 19th March.
We would like to have a good range of tasty recipes. Perhaps you have a great breakfast recipe, a healthy snack idea, a seasonal dish, a sweet treat, or a recipe suitable for those with a particular food intolerance? Or it may be that you have developed a recipe as part of one of your STEM lessons.
For example, Year 5 pupils might want to draw on their recent food provenance topic or Year 7 pupils may have one from their astronaut meal ideas. Mrs Carter will be talking to Year 3 about devising recipes for a potential chapter in the cookbook in their forthcoming 'Pumpkins Against Poverty' topic with a focus on Vitamin A. The winners of the weekly bake-off competition on Teams may also want to contribute their winning recipes?
All the recipes will be collated, printed and bound into a cookbook that will go on sale in the summer term. All profits will go towards kitting out a food technology room, an exciting part of the school's STEM focus going forward.
Finally, we are having a competition to design the front cover for the cookbook! Please send all entries to the office.
If you have any queries or questions please contact the office who will then pass these on to a PTA member.
Thank you very much for your help!
