European Languages Day 2021
European Languages Day celebrates linguistic diversity in Europe and promotes language learning.
Mrs Barker and Mrs Wintersteller, our specialist language teachers believe that learning a new language is a crucial part of education!
"I find it really interesting how brains have to switch to be able to communicate with people from other countries. It is not just the grammar and pronunciation, but also ideas and concepts that are expressed in different ways. Being able to speak a foreign language allows you to appreciate, understand and learn from other cultures in much greater depth. " - Mrs Wintersteller
"My favourite subjects were always art and languages. Over the course of my school and university life, I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to study the following languages: English, French, Spanish, German, Arabic, Old English and Latin." - Mrs Barker
