Ancient Greek Theatre

Year 2 have been learning about Ancient Greek theatres and plays. They learnt about the different playwrights such as Sophocles, Euripides and Aristophanes. They also learned that there was a variety of play types, such as comedies and tragedies. The children also made their own masks! Many based theirs on famous creatures like the Minotaur!

DT Club

In DT Club this lunchtime, our students have been designing and creating their own t-shirts! Arya, Naisha, Millie and Luke have finished their creations – they look fantastic, well done!

Viking Day

Dressed in some fabulous viking costumes, Year 3 have been investigating life at home during the viking era with a very special guest!!



Even despite the unprecedented current global situation, South Lee School are proud to announce more scholarship successs… Oliver in Year 8 has been offered 3 sports scholarships to Uppingham, Framlingham College and Gresham’s School which is an outstanding achievement. We are extremely proud of you Oliver.


Eleven of our pupils from Year 4 to Year 8 were selected to exhibit at the Peter Pears Gallery in Aldeburgh as part of the Young Art East Anglia exhibition raising funds for Cancer Research UK this weekend.

Congratulations to Arlo from Year 6 who won the overall 1st Prize, and William in Year 5 who was awarded a Highly Commended certificate!

The judges commented on the incredible diversity of both theme and media used by all our entrants as well as the excellent standard of art here at South Lee. Well done to everybody who entered!

Sporting News

Prep School have had a wonderful afternoon in their inter-house matches this week!

The girls played netball for a chance to win for their houses.

Dance & Movement Class

A lot of singing and dancing could be heard in the Year 2 Dance and Movement class this week! The children enjoyed traditional songs and routines whilst also being able to freestyle! They also learnt the cha-cha-slide with a surprise guest!
