news archives It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas…

The first week of December has been full of learning, playing and a whole lot of festivity!

Pre-Prep Christmas Production: ‘Shine’

EYFS Christmas Production: ‘A Miracle in Town’

Cygnets, Swans and Reception Class joined together to create the wonderful production of ‘A Miracle in Town’. The children worked really hard for both performances and what a success! Thank you to all staff and parents who supported our pupils, the result was fantastic!

Christmas Preparations

South Lee felt fabulously festive this week; especially with two Nativity plays and in anticipation of Friday’s PTA Christmas Fair! A huge thank you to our amazing PTA for decorating the Christmas trees so beautifully.

On Thursday, our Year 4 students spread festive cheer by carol singing at Stradbroke Court Care Home this afternoon!

Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club have been getting into the festive spirit! Henry B created a Christmas scene with help from Antonia W, Emily B, Millie B and Sophie B!

Year 6 Macbeth Workshop

Year 6 thoroughly enjoyed their Macbeth workshop at Woodbridge School! The children took part in a range of games and exercises that explored Shakespeare’s text, language, themes and characters in an active way.

Year 6 Investigations

Year 7 have been planning their own investigations, identifying their own independent, dependent and control variables. Once they have successfully planned an effective method, they earn their experimenting licence from Mrs Baker.

A Tasty Year 6 History Lesson!

Year 6 have been learning about how William conquered England in History. They investigated how he built Motte and Bailey Castles to establish strong holds in rebellious areas. The children made models of these for their homework. Don’t they look fantastic!

The Primary Maths Challenge 2019

We are extremely proud of Dillon in Year 6 who sat The Primary Maths Challenge 2019, and scored an excellent mark! He has qualified for the next stage called ‘The Bonus Round’ which takes place in February 2020. Well done Dillon!

Sporting Success

Congratulations to Fred in Year 3 who won Silver in the recent Culford Red Tennis Competition and Alev in Year 4 who won the LTA Mini Red Tournament at David Lloyd in Ipswich last Sunday. We are immensely proud of you both!

Congratulations to Henrietta, Arabella and Isobel who represented Suffolk in the U13 County tournament this weekend!

The U13 Indoor Tournament at Taverham Hall School was as exciting as ever! South Lee narrowly finished 3rd in their group, following a win against Norwich High School, a draw against Gresham’s (which was nearly a win when Arabella hit the post in the last play of the game) and a loss against Langley Prep School.
