This week in Cygnets, the children have made calendars in preparation for the New Year. As part of our Thanksgiving celebrations, they have created turkey pictures, printing with their hands and feet. Our classroom has been transformed into ‘Santa’s Workshop and the children have had a fabulous time playing with the resources. Our Christmas Production is almost upon us and dress rehearsals have begun. We absolutely know that you will enjoy their performance.

This week in Swans, the children have been preparing for Christmas. They have been wrapping gifts in Santa’s workshop, estimating the size of the paper needed for different toys. They have added ribbons and tags to make every present look beautiful. The children have also been writing Christmas cards and posting them into the class post box.

This week in Reception, the children have been very busy, working collaboratively to create number patterned paper chains to decorate our room. The children have been so excited to wear their Nativity costumes for rehearsal this week and they all look absolutely amazing. We have enjoyed celebrating the American festival of Thanksgiving through song and actions. They have excitedly acted out the story of the Pilgrims travelling to America on the Mayflower ship, building homes and planting seeds with the help of the Native Americans. Everyone tasted delicious traditional pumpkin pie.
Our ‘STEM’ activity was simply amazing. The children had to problem solve to create a 3D Christmas tree using green paper cups and then decorating it with pompoms.
