Year 2 have been exploring different ways of moving in Drama this week!
Congratulations to Tabitha in Year 7, who has been chosen to sing a solo with G4 at the Bury St Edmunds Cathedral on Saturday 21st December. Well done Tabitha, we are extremely proud of you!
Year 3 Dentist
Year 3 continued learning about the importance of brushing their teeth this afternoon! Disclosing tablets showed the children areas where they had missed brushing their teeth. The children thoroughly enjoyed learning such a useful life skill!
Year 6 have been considering the implications of electricity never having been discovered. As you can see in the photographs, on the one hand….
On Thursday, our Year 5-8 students visited Royal Hospital School for STEM Fest! They thoroughly enjoyed the trip, and it was a wonderful addition to the STEM curriculum that we teach here at South Lee School.
Reception class had a lot of fun this morning testing different types of balls to see which bounced the highest!
Even with the gloomy weather, Year 1 have been thoroughly enjoying their Games lesson with Mrs Bedford!
The icy ground on Tuesday didn’t stop Year 5 & 6 from keeping warm and active!
Cross Country Success!
In the opening race, Florrie came 1st, followed by Emilia in 14th place. In the next race Ted came 2nd, Fred 3rd, Jack 4th, Asher 7th, Oscar 8th and Jasper 11th. This meant an overall win for our U8 boys team.
In the U9 girls race, Tillie won 1st place, Rosie came 4th, Alev 8th and Amelie 9th.
For the U10 boys, Harry came 8th place.
For the U10 girls, Emily came 11th, Francesca 12th, Annabelle 17th and Kitty 18th.
In the U11 boys race, Charlie came 7th, Edward 11th, Seth G 13th, Seth B 16th, Ben 20th and Dylan 25th.
For the U11 girls, Henrietta came 3rd, Lily 12th, Holly 24th and Eliza 20th.
All races were out of approximately 70 runners so we are really pleased to have many of our runners in the top 25!Special mention to all the other team members including Arya, Emilia, Millie and Lexie! Thank you to all the parents who made the trip all the way to Southwold to support our students!
We enjoyed hosting our South Lee School Grandparents’ Lunch yesterday! It was lovely to see families together sharing a meal alongside their school friends. Thank you to all the grandparents who attended!
