U13 Boys Hockey

Today the U13A&B teams played Holmwood House A, B, C & D in Boys Hockey.
The A team played really well in the first game but conceded a goal against the run of play in the last minute to lose 0-1. Against the B team they won convincingly 7-0 with many stand out performances. Tommy Green was named man of the match.

The B team also faced a tough opening game but won 2-1. This was followed up with another win 7-0.
Well done to all the boys.

U11 Netball

A cold and Wednesday afternoon to start the netball season but the young girls performed well in their triangular tournament.

The B team narrowly lost 2-1 to Holmwood House. Eloise Perry was player of the match. And a last minute goal in their game against OBH saw them lose 3-2 in the last seconds of the game. Isobel Johnson was player of the match for her dodging and movement around the court. Although disappointing results, the girls worked hard and improved in one afternoon.

The A team however were on fire showing super skills throughout the matches.

With a 10-0 score line against OBH Emily Hunter was named player of the match for hardly missing a goal.

A 7-3 win against Holmwood House saw the team having to work harder with Emilia Ward and Heidi Cilliers showing strong defending skills. They were joint players of the match.

A super start to their season.

U13 Netball

The U13 A netball team played their first match of the season against Holmwood House.

We started the match extremely positively, scoring goals in quick succession and defending brilliantly at times too. The half time score was 14-5 to South Lee.

The team continued the consistent pressure and extended their lead through great team work; delivering passages of play that we had worked hard on in lessons this week; always a satisfying feeling for any teacher!

The final score was 22-14 to South Lee. Katie Rogers and Connie Kingston were named as players of the match, but I am also very proud of the commitment the girls have shown in the past week. They deserved this win!
