news archives This week in Early Years

What a fantastic week that we have had in Early Years.
We started the week with an amazing array of Easter Bonnets. The children had made such a great effort with their work. They varied from a Cadburys egg to a helter-skelter. The bonnets were very colourful and innovative. We showed them off to parents and grandparents during our Easter Parade.

We then had a visit from the Easter Bunny and everyone had such fun following the bunny footprints on the playground and then searching our woodland area for the eggs that had been left for us.

On Tuesday, we had a guest speaker Alison Burgess from the Southgate Church to re tell the Easter Story. The children listened very intently and were very interested. We finished off all having a taste of Hot Cross Buns.

On Thursday morning, Early Years were so excited to be taking part in “Sports Relief- Run a Mile”
We all took part and had a fantastic time running a mile on the Victory Ground. Everyone was smiling, and it was lovely to raise some money for a great cause.
