South Lee Netball Success
Netball is a very popular sport at South Lee, especially at the IAPS tournaments. Each team is taken to the tournament, each year, to participate. Two of our latest teams won the tournament and played in the National in Brighton, held at Roedean School. There are teams there from all over. South Lee netball is taught really well, often leading us to this success. Lucy Cadge, the Under 21 England Netball Captain, visited our school and taught netball here. I am sure Staff at South Lee have been made proud by the netball at our school.

Rugby
We play many sports at South Lee, including rugby. Mr Shone (Head of P.E.) organises many sports matches against other schools.
We play full contact rugby at 'under 11' and 'under 13' level. Many of our pupils are members of outside school rugby clubs, mainly Bury rugby club.
Rounders
At South Lee we play rounders; it is a really fun sport, especially in the summer.
We usually play rounders matches on Wednesday afternoons against other schools. We have two innings each and usually it's timed, but if we do have time we play all out, which is much more fun.
Full colours and half colours are awarded for rounders but are very rare. There is also a rounders cup which is awarded at Speech Day. We play rounders in House matches as well; this is a team made up of Years 6, 7 and 8 from each House.
