Financial terms and conditions
Registration fee
A non-refundable registration fee of £25 is charged for each pupil at the time of registration. A registration fee of £15 is charged for each subsequent child.
A deposit of £250 will be requested to guarantee a place before the child commences full-time education. £150 of this will be credited to the first term’s fees and the remainder will be refunded at the end of the child’s final term at South Lee.
The deposit will not be refunded should the place not be taken up.
Fees and charges
Information of current fees and charges are provided overleaf. Fees are payable termly in advance or may be paid in monthly instalments, details of which can be obtained from the Bursar.
A credit charge of £30 is payable if fees are not paid by the first day of term.
Parents wishing to withdraw their child from South Lee must give a full term’s notice (i.e. not two half terms) in writing to the Headmaster. If such notice is not provided, a full term’s fees must be paid to compensate for the unfilled place.
Optional extras will be added to your account.
The school is currently a member of the ‘Early Years Development Scheme’ – please contact the Bursar for more details.
Personal accident insurance and fees insurance
The school operates a Pupil’s Personal Accident Scheme through Holmwoods. Each pupil is automatically covered and the premium is added to the termly account. Parents must inform the school if they wish to opt out of the scheme.
The school cannot remit fees because of absence. For a small sum, which can be added to the termly account, parents can insure against absence. Details may be obtained from the Bursar.
Absence
Except for illness, pupils should not be absent from school. Parents are asked to seek special permission from the Headmaster if absence is necessary for other reasons.
