South Lee’s Early Years caters for children from two years of age, making the transfer from home to school as smooth as possible. It is a self-contained and secure environment, providing education for children up to five years of age.
South Lee School Early Years operates term time only from several rooms in purpose built premises, within the grounds of South Lee School in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. The opening times are 8.30am to 3.20pm weekdays only, with the option of staying until 3.40pm. A delicious lunch and healthy snack will be provided during this time. A breakfast club from 7.30am, and an after school care facility is also provided in the main school until 6.00pm, which Early Years children can access. However, this is by prior booking through the school office and availability depends on number and age of children, as stringent adult child ratios must be adhered to. Early Years children are also able to attend holiday camps, which run in the Easter and summer holidays.
There are five classrooms within the Early Years building, all with immediate access to secure outside play areas.
Under the guidance of Mrs Julie Last (FdA CCLD), highly qualified and enthusiastic staff provide a stimulating, fun environment to help and encourage each child to learn and develop.
